1 quart Buttermilk (room temp.)
3 Tbl. Yeast (dissolved in 1/2 cup warm water and 1 Tbls sugar)
2 eggs, beaten
3 tsp. baking Powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbls. sugar
8 cups Flour (no more)
mix dough, it will be sticky. Drop by spoonfuls on to a well floured board. Pat out scones to size desired. Drop in hot oil and fry until golden flip over and fry on other side. Serve with cinnamon sugar, jam, honeybutter (recipe on blog), honey, butter....soooooo good.
